In short
- The WGT-01 website doesn’t use profiling or analytics cookies, and sets no cookies of its own.
- There are no ads and no tracking pixels. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t recognise you from one visit to the next: it only gives overall numbers (page views, countries, browsers).
- The “Notify me at launch” newsletter is optional: your email goes to MailerLite only if you type it and press Subscribe.
- Typefaces are hosted on the site itself: opening the pages sends no requests to Google or other font services.
- Photos you try on the Try it page are processed only in your browser: they aren’t sent or saved anywhere.
- The only optional services are third-party ones (today: the Payhip payment button, once downloads open) and they start only if you accept them.
Who is responsible
The site is a personal project by Walife (thawalife.com). For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, write to thawalife@gmail.com.
What is stored on your device
| Name | Type | What it’s for | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
wgt01-consenso |
Browser local storage (technical) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected third-party services, so the banner doesn’t reappear on every page | 6 months, then you’re asked again |
It’s a technical tool: it doesn’t identify you, isn’t sent to any server and only serves to respect your choice. That’s why it doesn’t require consent. You can delete it whenever you like from your browser settings, or change your choice in the “Cookie preferences” box on this page.
Third-party services (optional)
| Service | What it does | When it starts | Policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Payhip | Shows the donation checkout directly on the Download page, without leaving the site | Only if you accept. If you reject, the button opens Payhip’s own page, where its rules apply | Payhip privacy and cookies |
Card or PayPal payments are handled by Payhip and the payment service you choose: the WGT-01 website never sees or stores your card details.
Visit statistics
To know how many people visit the site and from which countries, pages load a small Cloudflare Web Analytics script (Cloudflare, Inc.). It stores nothing on your device: no cookies, no local storage, no browser “fingerprint”. Cloudflare receives the IP address and technical details of the visit (page, browser, operating system, country derived from the IP) and gives them back to the site owner only as totals: nobody can trace them back to you or follow you across sites. That’s why no consent is needed. If you’d still rather avoid it, any content blocker (for example uBlock Origin) stops it without breaking the site. Policy: Cloudflare Web Analytics and privacy and Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
“Notify me at launch” newsletter
If you leave your email in the form, I receive it through MailerLite (MailerLite Limited, Ireland, data stored in the European Union). It’s used only to write to you when WGT-01 is available and when a new version comes out.
- Double opt-in: you get an email with a link; you’re not subscribed until you confirm.
- Legal basis: your consent (GDPR, Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time with the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every email or by writing to thawalife@gmail.com.
- I keep your email for as long as you stay subscribed; MailerLite also records the date, time and IP of sign-up and confirmation, as proof of consent.
- The form loads no MailerLite scripts: data is sent only when you press Subscribe.
Policy: MailerLite Privacy Policy.
Hosting
The site is published with GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). Like any web server, GitHub receives the IP address and technical details of the request (browser, requested page, time) to show you the pages and protect the service. The site owner has no access to this data. Policy: GitHub General Privacy Statement.
Links to other sites
Links to other sites (for example thawalife.com, Payhip, MailerLite or Adobe’s documentation) take you off this site: there, their own policies apply.
