Documentation

WGT-01 documentation, the generative plugin for Photoshop: installation, the panel, Pattern, the ten Styles, Type and SVG export.

What WGT-01 is

WGT-01 is a plugin for Adobe Photoshop. It reads the greyscale of a layer (or a selection) and uses it to generate graphics: every dark, mid or light area becomes something different.

The panel has three sections:

Section What it does
Pattern Repeats an element (a shape or your own file) and sets its size and position from the tone.
Styles Ten generative styles: Dither, Halftone, ASCII, Mosaic, Engraving, Flow lines, Contour lines, Gradient map, Glitch, Pixel sorting.
Type Lays out the text of posters, posts, stories and banners: format, colours, typefaces and composition.

Where to start

  1. Install the plugin.
  2. Read The panel: presets, preview, Edit and All layers work the same way in every section.
  3. Open a photo, select its layer and try a section.

The panel is in Italian for now. In these pages each control is written with its label as it appears in the panel, in bold, followed by its meaning in English.

WGT-01 is at version 0.16.5 and still in development. Some features may change before 1.0.
